Freelance writing without commitments

Simply order whatever you need to be written, as and when you need it. There is no need for contracts or commitments. It doesn’t matter if you need one article at a time, or whether you order in batches of ten or fifty, or how regularly you order.

Informational writing or copywriting

In most cases, clients simply want informational content in order to build trust with their readership, or – for instance – to display the features of a given product in its description.

However, if you so choose, you can order any of the items listed below as copywritten content – which focuses on the desired outcome, or required visitor action, on the page in question (for instance to make a purchase, initiate contact, or mailing list signup). This is achieved by combining an understanding of your audience and your offer/product/service with basic psychological principles.

Ghostwriting

Most clients prefer not to disclose who created their content – if that is what you require, then nobody will ever know who wrote it. After all, in many cases the client wishes to showcase the content in order to establish credibility or authority. Adding a stranger’s name to the article or ebook would defeat the object – hence the “ghost” in ghostwriting.

Ghost blogging services

A blog post is more than just a piece of content. The internet has enough “content”. What makes yours any different? Blog posts need to be interesting and engaging enough to make visitors want to come back for more. Ideally, your ghost blogger should not only be a good writer, but also understand both your target audience and your own “voice”.

eBook writing

Order ebooks from 4,000 words right up to 50,000 words. Bear in mind that, depending on the subject and/or topic, you may need to provide research material. Also keep in mind that larger ebook writing projects require more substantial, and more regular communication to ensure the final product is as you envision it to be.

SEO content writing

Many people and companies rely heavily on Google for traffic to their websites. As such, they need to create search engine optimized content to attract visitors. At the same time, however, it is important that the wording on your website should flow naturally and not be an irritation to read.

Online and social profiles

The public is taking note – more now than ever before – of the impressions and perceptions created by businesses in the social media space. A lacking or incomplete social profile written in a hurry may create the (probably false) perception of indifference to customer needs. In the case of branding, you may very well be wasting a valuable opportunity to connect if you fail to convey your message via your business profile on Facebook, Google Plus or Linkedin.

E-commerce product descriptions

Descriptions for products in online shops have two requirements: Firstly, they should be visible in the search engine results (even if not at the top), which requires SEO content writing – even if it is for a smaller number of words. In addition to that, the wording should make it easy for visitors making use the the website’s internal search function to find what they are looking for. Secondly, once the visitor arrives, the actual wording of the product description could be the deciding factor between a visitor becoming a buyer or not.

Additional services – charged by the hour:

a. Adding content to your website, and doing detailed/advanced SEO as per instruction. These include adding specific meta tags, adding alt tags, and adding title tags to images and links. Some people prefer to do it themselves, but others simply don’t have the time or the skills/skilled labor available for it.

b. Content syndication/distribution – distributing content to article directories, document sharing sites, web 2.0 platforms, Youtube, etc – including writing unique descriptions and adding tags where needed. You can rewrite and recycle content into different formats to achieve increased exposure and improved branding. Be visible in multiple spaces at a relatively low cost.

c. Basic SEO (on-page) services (WordPress and Joomla only) for existing content – descriptions and keywords, and modification of content to include keywords as required.

d. Content planning and keyword research – if you are unsure about topics, keywords, or the content roll-out of your blog posts, I may be able to help. However, since I do make a living selling my time, these are not included in any of my ghostwriting services by default.

In addition to these, there are also a number of steps that can be taken to improve the search engine optimization of existing content. Please feel free to contact me to discuss the possibilities. As I said – ghost blogging is the part of my job I enjoy the most, but it is by no means the only thing I am capable of doing.
